Wild Poppy & Wild Ivy

Bought in March 2019, we lovingly converted this 2000 Richardson Horse Trailer in to the Wild Poppy Bar and then acquired Wild Ivy,  a neat pop up bar in 2022 to help us deliver our exceptional service to the smallest of spaces. 

Our Wild dream is to be environmentally friendly, serve local and seasonal produce, support charity and leave a positive footprint along the way. Today, you'll find us serving carefully sourced spirits, with fresh seasonal herbs, through eco-friendly rice straws and recycled glassware.

Our love for reused materials extends to the bar design itself. The beautiful worktops are revamped scaffold boards and the striking artwork was painted on to the existing trailer panelling. We were elated to uncover 20 year old floor boards in perfect condition under the weighty rubber matting, and in true DIY fashion, we are proud to say we built it all ourselves! 

Wild Bars have a passion for Gin but we designed both to be smart and versatile, to smoothly and efficiently serve the beverage of choice, wherever the party and have a tasty cocktail menu that changes with the season. 

Both are equipped with fridges, payment services etc. as well as fully trained, professional and charismatic bar staff making the experience special for each and every customer.

One of our dreams for becoming Wild & Free, is to have a positive social impact by supporting local businesses, keeping a low environmental footprint and donating a percentage of our profits to charity.  

It's been great fun scouring the market and local area for the products we need to realise our dreams. Our adventure has shown how fortunate we are to be surrounded by great produce and innovation so it is not hard to LOVE LOCAL.  So, wherever possible, we will source our drinks and ingredients from our neighbours and keep our carbon footprint low.

Always keen to support charitable events,  we have in the last 12 months helped raise money for School meals, a pool cover and local community projects.
